Mauricio Anton is doing incredible things. While I’ve been pondering the role of artists as television programming erodes into sensationalist fluff, Mauricio has been forging forth with… his own programming. His blog chasing sabretooths is a must-subscribe, at the very least because of video content like the analysis of lumbar flexibility in the video above. He wonderfully goes where no tv producer seems willing to go… presenting the subject matter not as a talking head of borrowed authority, but as a passionate person with bones in his hands and computer graphics that visualize the subject at hand – biomechanics. He gets it right, bringing vertebrae shape, biomechanics and ecology into context. He also links media, interweaving available outlets together and leading up to is upcoming book. I hope there’s an eBook version, though as this video work is wonderfully concise and informative.
