This reconstruction is a bit toony, yes… but the tech makes me think of exploring museum cellars interactively. For example, scale. If a Brachiosaurus skeleton were initially rendered in true size as calculated by the marker, the necessary act of squeeze-zooming the thing down to a viewable size would inherently communicate scale in a way that a normal book would never be capable of.
