I’m digging the modo’s real-time preview. It’s like auto pixelart. I should make a movie rendered in it.
i did similar….
this are modo renderings:
O WOW. when you showed me these I thought they were normal pixel art.
Animation! With Lukasz’ ACS autorigger, wouldn’t take much…
i tried to animate it on 2d, once. its time consuming work.
modeling special lowpoly character and animating in 3d. render 80pixel image and resize it with an impulse filter –> much faster and easier workflow !
those look like cut-out animation technique (ie. move/rotating arm /leg/body etc.) It would be cool to see how these look as direct grabs from the preview (ie. http://www.drip.de/?p=2757)
Not sure how much you cleaned up the stills, they look alot more polished than my takes. (I just recorded what was there.)
already read it… twitter 😉
Already thinking about workflows…
‘i ve tried with more pixel preview rendering, but modo was to fast for it… if limited the rendertime it gives me somethimes black frames –> to short rendertime
i also was thinking to do game for iphone and pc. retro style. it will need simple 2d game engine. or write the engine be myself with phyton or java, this should not hard.
like “sword of fargoal” remake –>fun game. but i would make much deeper gameplay. hardcore DnD.
